Patient Safety Resources
In 1999, the Institute of Medicine realeased a report stating that up to 98,000 people die each year from preventable medical errors. As a result, increased scrutiny has been placed on improving patient safety and reducing medical errors. Currently, several major health care associations and trade groups have supported measures to address these issues.
