We are pleased to provide you with the Fall 2003 edition of the Cardiac Newsletter, IPRO's newsletter on the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) National Cardiac Projects. This edition contains inpatient recommendations for the use of ACE inhibitors and also information on the current underuse of these important medications. In addition, the newsletter highlights the IPRO Smoking Cessation Collaborative and one hospital's success in implementing a smoking cessation program.
