In support of the Nursing Home Quality Initiative, IPRO, the Medicare Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) for New York State, will be sponsoring seven statewide educational conferences.

The purpose of the conferences is to provide nursing homes with the knowledge and skills to implement quality improvement programs on managing pain in long term care. The target audience includes direct care and administrative staff members throughout the nursing home setting.

The Nursing Home Quality Initiative (NHQI) educational conferences will be half-day sessions held at upstate and downstate locations as follows:

October 14, 2003 - Melville Marriott Long Island Hotel, Melville, NY - 8:00 AM October 7, 2003
October 29, 2003 - La Guardia Marriott Hotel, East Elmhurst, NY - 8:00 AM October 22, 2003
November 10, 2003 - Wyndham Syracuse Hotel, East Syracuse, NY - 8:00 AM November 3, 2003
November 11, 2003 - Albany Marriott Hotel, Albany, NY - 8:00 AM November 4, 2003

There is a fee of $15 per person to attend the conferences to help defray the cost of food and beverages.

You can register for the conference online and get driving directions to the conference by visiting our website at www.ipro.org. Walk-ins are discouraged. We accept credit cards and checks as forms of payment.

We have applied for 4 CEU credits for Nursing Home Administrators.
