SUBJECT: Fundamental Principles of Culture Change & Depression in Long Term Care

IPRO, the Medicare Quality Improvement Organization for New York State, will be sponsoring a set of educational conferences entitled "Fundamental Principles of Culture Change and Depression in Long Term Care". The day's program to be presented in five locations around the state, will be devoted to culture change and its applications; including a special focus on ways in which culture change can improve your depression measure.
The purpose of the conferences is to provide nursing homes with an understanding of important culture change principles. Additionally, information pertaining to depression screening and treatment will be provided and examined utilizing the culture change principles and strategies presented during the conference.
The presenters for the day include experts in both culture change and geriatrics, along with our own quality improvement experts. Please join us for one of these very informative sessions, which will provide you with information, tools and resources to bring back to your facility.
The NHQI educational conferences will be full day sessions beginning at 8:30 am and ending at 4:30 pm, at the following upstate and downstate locations:

There is a fee of $50.00 per person to attend the conferences to help defray the cost of food and beverages. We accept credit cards and checks as forms of payment.
IPRO has applied for Nursing Home Administrator CEUs. You may register for the conference online and get driving directions to the conference by visiting our Web site at www.ipro.org/nhqi. Walk-ins are discouraged. Feel free to come to the sessions in business casual attire.
