IPRO, the Medicare Quality Improvement Organization for New York State, will be sponsoring five (5) statewide educational conferences titled "Enhanced Quality Measures & the MDS: Sowing Seeds of Quality."
The purpose of the conferences is to provide nursing homes with important information to help maintain and improve quality of care by expanding knowledge of the Enhanced Quality Measures (QMs) and Minimum Data Set (MDS). The conferences will also offer guidance in developing strategies for more accurate coding of the MDS items that correlate with the quality measures. Because the quality of the MDS data determines the accuracy of your quality measure data, the target audiences for the conferences include interdisciplinary staff throughout the nursing home setting.
The NHQI educational conferences will be full day sessions held at upstate and downstate locations as follows:

There is a fee of $25 per person to attend the conferences to help defray the cost of food and beverages. We accept credit cards and checks as forms of payment. You can register for the conference online and get driving directions to the conference by visiting our Web site at www.ipro.org/nhqi. Walk-ins are discouraged.
This program has been approved for 6 CEUs for Nursing Home Administrators.
