IPRO is an independent, non-profit organization that serves under contract with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as New York State's Medicare Quality Improvement Organization. As one of the tasks in this mission, IPRO works to assist all nursing homes in developing and implementing quality improvement programs.

As part of the implementation of the CMS Nursing Home Quality Initiative (NHQI), we will be hosting a conference call for interested Nursing Home staff entitled "The Role of the Medical Director in Long Term Care and Quality Improvement." The focus of the conference call will be the role of the medical director in a long-term care setting. Specifically, we will emphasize the link between effective clinical care, administrative functions and successful quality improvement outcomes.

IPRO would like to invite you and your staff to attend this 1½ hour panel presentation facilitated by Dr. Clare Bradley, Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at IPRO.

Dr. Bradley will be joined by 3 medical directors: Dr. Len Gelman, President, NYMDA, Dr. Jeff Nichols, VP, NYMDA and Dr. Jacob Dimant, Past President, AMDA.

The conference call will be held on July 14, 2003 from 1:00PM-2:30PM.

To register to participate in the conference call, please forward the attached fax back form to Pauline Kinney at (516) 326-7462.
