19th Annual Meeting and Outstanding Service to The Health Care Community Awards - June 3, 2003, LaGuardia Marriott Hotel, Queens, NY

Nationally recognized health care expert, Michael L. Millenson will be the Keynote Speaker at IPRO's 19th Annual Membership Meeting, set for June 3, 2003 at the LaGuardia Marriott Hotel in East Elmhurst, Queens, NY. Mr. Millenson is the author of the critically acclaimed, Demanding Medical Excellence: Doctors and Accountability in the Information Age (University of Chicago Press), now in its third printing.

National Public Radio called Millenson "in the vanguard of the movement" to measure and improve the quality of medical care. He is regularly quoted by the news media, and his articles have appeared in peer-reviewed publications such as The Journal of Health Politics, Policy and Law, Health Affairs and Quality and Safety in Health Care, as well as in general-interest publications such as The Washington Monthly, Newsday and the World Book Encyclopedia.

In addition to Mr. Millenson's presentation, IPRO will be presenting its Annual Outstanding Service to the Health Care Community Awards. The event will be held from 12:00 noon to 2:30pm and includes a complimentary buffet luncheon.
